TERMS
OF USE
We keep it simple, we keep it fair. Here’s what you’re agreeing to when you buy a ticket, come to the event, or use anything with the Foodville name on it.
Last Updated: July 2026
Food Festival Inc. (“Foodville,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Foodville Festival event and the foodvillefest.com website. By purchasing a ticket, visiting our website, or attending the event, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not purchase a ticket or attend the event.
1. About Foodville Festival
Foodville Festival is an annual outdoor Afro-Caribbean food and music experience produced by Food Festival Inc. in Toronto, Ontario. The 2026 edition takes place Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Lamport Stadium.
2. Ticket Purchases
All ticket purchases are processed through our authorized ticketing partner, Universe (a Ticketmaster company). By purchasing, you agree to their platform terms in addition to ours.
All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges will be issued for any reason including but not limited to weather, lineup changes, or personal circumstance.
Tickets are non-transferable except through Universe’s official transfer feature.
Foodville and Universe are the only authorized sellers. Tickets purchased from third parties or scalpers may be invalid.
Ticket buyers must be 19 years of age or older, or accompanied by a legal guardian to attend, as alcohol is served on-site.
3. Event Attendance
Foodville is a rain-or-shine outdoor event.
The artist lineup, vendor list, and programming are subject to change without notice.
Foodville reserves the right to refuse entry or eject any attendee whose behaviour is unsafe, unlawful, disrespectful, or in violation of venue rules.
Attendees are subject to search on entry. Prohibited items include weapons, illegal substances, outside alcohol or food, professional camera equipment without press credentials, and any item deemed unsafe by Foodville or venue security.
Foodville is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items.
4. Code of Conduct
We are building a festival grounded in African and Caribbean culture, and every attendee has the right to feel respected and safe. Harassment, discrimination, violence, or any behaviour that undermines that will result in immediate ejection without refund and may be reported to authorities.
5. Photography, Video, and Media
By attending Foodville Festival, you consent to being photographed, filmed, and recorded by Foodville, our media partners, and authorized press. These recordings may be used for promotional, editorial, and commercial purposes, including on our website, social media, advertisements, and future marketing materials.
Attendees may take personal photos and video for personal non-commercial use. Professional recording, streaming, and commercial photography require prior written approval from Foodville.
6. Age Restrictions and Alcohol
Foodville Festival is licensed to serve alcohol on-site under the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario Special Occasion Permit. All attendees consuming alcohol must be 19 years of age or older with valid government-issued ID. Foodville reserves the right to refuse alcohol service to any attendee for any reason.
7. Cancellation and Postponement
If Foodville Festival is cancelled or postponed due to a force majeure event (severe weather, natural disaster, government order, public health emergency, venue closure, or any other cause beyond our reasonable control), Foodville will make reasonable efforts to reschedule the event on the same or comparable terms. If the event cannot be rescheduled within a reasonable period, refunds may be issued at Foodville’s discretion and subject to any non-refundable costs incurred.
Foodville is not liable for any incidental costs incurred by attendees, including travel, accommodations, or lost wages, in the event of cancellation or postponement.
8. Assumption of Risk
Attending a live outdoor event carries inherent risks including but not limited to exposure to weather, crowds, noise, and physical activity. By purchasing a ticket and attending Foodville Festival, you voluntarily assume all such risks.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Food Festival Inc., its directors, officers, employees, contractors, and event partners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your attendance at Foodville Festival or use of the foodvillefest.com website. Our total aggregate liability under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for your ticket.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Food Festival Inc. and its partners against any claim, damage, or expense arising from your violation of these Terms, your conduct at the event, or your misuse of the foodvillefest.com website.
11. Website Use
The foodvillefest.com website and all content on it (including logos, images, text, video, and design) is the property of Food Festival Inc. or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify any content without prior written permission.
12. Third-Party Links and Services
Our website and communications may link to or integrate with third party services (Universe for ticketing, Hive for marketing, Framer for our website platform, social media platforms). We are not responsible for the content, terms, or practices of those third party services.
13. Modifications to These Terms
Foodville may update these Terms of Use from time to time. The most recent version will always be available at foodvillefest.com/terms-of-use. Continued use of the website or attendance at the event after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
